Why is self-love the most important love?


What is self-love?

Self-love is the most important love that we should feel and cherish. We cannot love others until we learn how to love our-self. Often, people misunderstand self-love and associate it with low vibrational feelings that come from egos, such as arrogance or vanity. But, self-love is simply a decision that we will spend more time with ourselves and become better acquainted with ourselves. It comes from the source, from the soul, and manifests itself in the form of endless respect for ourselves and admiration for all that we are, from the outside and from within.

Self-love comes from accepting ourselves. It can be understood and built through continuous work on oneself, through getting to know oneself and learning from the experiences we are going through. We have to take time for our-self and to learn how to love and accept our-self. We have to fall in love with our past experiences and to learn to be grateful for every single one.

Self-growth

Personal growth has to be intentional. It is the work that we must intentionally do if we want to grow spiritually and emotionally. We don’t improve by accident. We have to put the effort into our growth if we want to grow exponentially. Living the best version of our-self inspires other people to live the best version of them-self also. Because there is no greater gift than knowing yourself and living your truth. The relationship with our-self is the most important relationship and from that base, we can then build all the other beautiful relationships in life. How you see and treat yourself is how you will see and treat others.

How to grow exponentially and to love yourself every day more?

Everyday decisions and actions lead us to emotional growth and self-love. These are some of the simple habits that lead to wonderful results if practiced daily:

  1. MEDITATION – It is extremely important to be calm because only in a state of peace can we rationally look at situations. By understanding the situation in a peaceful way, we avoid the stress that usually leads us into a negative vibration on a daily basis where we do not love ourselves and we are not self-aware. Meditation will calm you and every day, you will be more connected to your true self.
  2. GRATITUDE – I have already written about the wonderful blessing of gratitude. When we begin to consciously be grateful for every part of our body, miracles happen. Gratitude is the greatest gift you can give to yourself.
  3. LEARNING – By learning new things and reading books, you will realize how many wonderful new things you can learn about life every day, your wisdom and exploratory spirit will awaken and you will feel more and more productive and fulfilled every day.

Three things you need to stop doing right away

  1. CRITICISM – criticism is the biggest enemy that doesn’t allow you to love yourself completely. Accepting yourself fully is the first step to loving yourself.
  2. BLAME – most often we blame ourselves for the actions and decisions we have made in the past. We must accept that the past is behind us and that we cannot change it. All our strength lies in the present moment. It is necessary to reconcile with the past and to know that we have always done the best we knew at that moment. It’s the only way we can forgive ourselves.
  3. SCARING YOURSELF – people tend to imagine negative scenarios that usually never happen in the end. Every time you frighten yourself with your negative thoughts you are not connected to your inner being. In these situations, try to calm yourself through meditation or try to change your focus to something beautiful that happened to you in the day.

One of the biggest achievements humans can reach is to learn how to enjoy the time that they spend alone with them-self. To know them-self, to explore them-self and to find peace in this never-ending exploring. Only after we meet our-self, we can enjoy meeting and exploring others.
